Anne Knälmann

After studying electrical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Ms. Knälmann began her professional career at Südwestfunk (SWF). There she developed software solutions for frequency planning as part of a research project. During the merger of SWF and SDR, she was responsible for coordinating the merger projects with IT involvement. In the years that followed, she took on various management positions, including Head of Department for Media Systems and Enterprise Applications at SWR. Since the beginning of 2025, Ms. Knälmann has headed the IT business unit of the ARD Tech-Unit. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic development of the IT infrastructure and the promotion of digital innovations in public service broadcasting.
