Verena Fücker

Verena Fücker has been working for Bayerischer Rundfunk since 2015, currently as a team lead in the News-WG and for the BR24 Radio editorial team. She is passionate about news and a young audience.
Her career at BR began at PULS Radio, an experience that still shapes her today - both journalistically and as a storyteller. There she was a writer and editor for current affairs programs, podcasts and online content. Back then, journalistic work in social media was still in its infancy, and there was no community management or Tiktok. Since then, she has produced everything the digital world has to offer, from Facebook link posts to award-winning YouTube reports.
This was followed by a traineeship at BR, with positions in all daily newsrooms, including sports and the ARD studio in Vienna.
