René Hofmann

Head of department, Süddeutsche Zeitung

Since 2018, René Hofmann has been part of a dual leadership team as head of the Munich, Region, and Bavaria department at the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ). Previously, he coordinated the SZ's weekend edition from 2016 to 2018. He began his journalistic career in 2000 in the sports editorial department of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, where he worked until 2016. He completed his training at the German School of Journalism in Munich.
