Prof. Dr. Oliver Errichiello is a German-Italian economic sociologist, consumer philosopher, and author. He studied sociology and psychology in Hamburg and Lyon and earned his doctorate with a thesis on “Brand Sociology Advertising.” He worked for the German Bundestag's protocol department, then as a strategic planner at advertising agencies and in marketing. Today, he runs his own company and is also “Director of Innovation” for a major German hospitality holding company. Errichiello is an expert in brand positioning, advertising, and green brand management and teaches brand sociology and consumer psychology at the universities of Mittweida and Lucerne as well as the University of Hamburg. He is a long-standing lecturer at Wanli University in Ningbo, China. Lectures and seminars have taken him to the United Kingdom, Italy, Indonesia, and France, among other places. He is also the author of over 25 non-fiction and specialist books and a regular interview partner on advertising and consumption for ARD and ZDF.
