What does digital publishing need today?

Opinions on political and social issues are now predominantly formed online - the internet shapes how we think and act. However, the content we encounter online is often determined by the interests of global tech companies rather than democratic values. In order to promote democratic dialogue online, we need digital spaces and players that can promote this discourse and inform the majority of society. What conditions are necessary to make digital publishing successful today and in the future? Do we need new journalistic platforms in order to reach our diverse society with relevant journalistic content? How can new information offerings be created that can hold their own in competition with dominant social media platforms? This panel will discuss how digital information dissemination can function successfully in the future.
